Elmira Pet Products is a HACCP (Hazard Analysis
Critical Control Points) certified facility. HACCP is an internationally
recognized food safety plan, which encompasses Good Manufacturing Practices and
Critical Control Points. Our last audit was March 6-7, 2007, and the results
confirmed that our food safety system is in accordance with the standards set
for HACCP accreditation.
Elmira Pet Products has been AIB (American
Institute of Baking) compliant for many years. AIB performs an annual
unannounced audit, focusing on our food safety program, pest control,
operational methods, personnel practices, maintenance for food safety, and
cleaning practices. The 2007 audit report validated that we meet, and in some
cases exceed, the AIB criteria for compliancy.
Our goal is to meet, or
surpass, customer expectations by being the most reliable, quality conscious
manufacturer of dry pet food in Canada. Thanks to our dedicated, quality
conscious employees, we are achieving our goal.
